Look at our finish positions in the league whilst he has been here . We have just finished 6th from bottom and could have been relegated. His record is dire , as is the record of those who employ him.

The bit I don't get with him is that he overseas the FAW coaching course doesn't he? The same course that lots of former players from lots of the top leagues attend wanting to become managers or coaches.

So why hasn't any of the lesson content worked at Wrexham?

There's a world of difference between lesson content and effective application of it.

Darlington teaches the basics in the FAW coaching course, like any coaching course. After that ends, it's up to the manager to add their own ideas and styles to the basics.

Everyone with coaching badges will have done what Darlington teaches (or something very similar), from Pep Guardiola to Bryan Hughes. The lesson content does work to teach, but it's a manager's bread and butter.

Coaching coaches is probably a completely different skill set from coaching a mixed bag of players.
