I heard months ago he was supposed to be on the way. For the flack he gets I don't know why he would want to stay. I genuinely think it could be a case of him going and we are still crap, and then I dont know where that leaves us.

For the record, for the amount of failure he has been a part of, he should have gone long ago in my book. The above sounds like I am defending him.

It leaves us just like every other football club in the world , you look for a new Manager , allow him to get on with it , if he fails sack him and try another . If the managers chosen continually fail you have to look at the selection process , and alter that .

It's like any organisation.. Whether it be a small business. An office, a factory. Moving up, to a Council, an Assembly, even a Government..
In fact, anywhere that involves Human Beings

You'll always find someone not very good at their job..

Someone repost his role and responsibilities please, I could do with a laugh.

He's been an unmitigated disaster.

Football has been dreadful under his coaching or teachings or whatever way you want to spin it.

Not one player has improved under his coaching or teachings. Many get worse and end up leaving with their reputation in tatters. Said players then join another club and get a new lease of life and start performing again. There are many examples of this happening.

Tail wags the dog at Wrexham FC and he even has input on choice of managers. How many clubs go to their part time coach and ask for advice on who to appoint as the next manager? Absolutely bizarre and backwards.
Not to mention that Ricketts aside its been a total disaster. And they couldn't even keep hold of Ricketts for more than half a season so you can hardly label him as a success.

From what I can see and have been told the most useful he's been is before games on the pitch, laying out cones and laying the ball off for our strikers for shooting practice. You could pluck some kid from the crowd to do that job and save his salary for a real coach.

A total fraud who's been well and truly found out.

Good riddance if he is off.

The problem is if Darlington does leave it's just one grain of sand.

We've got a whole beach that needs shifting.

All signs point towards going to Tunisia, good luck to him.

Hopefully, we'll have a full time coach who we pay for, not somebody else subsidising wages. Although I'd wait and see before celebrating too much, it'll be some ex player given the role I'd bet.

Well yes, I think Darlington probably gets blamed for more problems than he deserves but he should not be allowed to be a part of continued failure. It unheard of really, I would love to know WHY he has to stay. Why is that a thing, new managers have to be lumbered with him.

The blame thing was cleared up in the Q&A that the club bothered to answer, as they confirmed his role and responsibilities.
