Default Re: Club Ownership Survey

Having had the displeasure of experiencing how the current board treat people who disagree with their own ideology (i.e. removing committed hard working volunteers from the club by any means if they question the boards competency, decisions or motives), i am sure that they is no chance what so ever they will publish the results without spinning them, if at all.

Anyone thinking they will eventually accept their failure and resign, or consider outside investment and influence, will be very disappointed. The core of the board would rather remain in charge of wafc playing sunday league football against the red cow in front of 6 hungover supporters and 2 pet dogs, rather than lose their grip on power, even if it means there would be positive success on the pitch.

Sorry state of affairs, but only the administrators will eventually have the power to remove them, and that means the club may fall far deeper before it gets better. I hope i'm massively wrong!

Well said.

It's clear they do not want this club to succeed unless it's under their control. I think they'd rather let the club die, even if a billionaire came along. They truly are in this for themselves and will go down in history for destroying it, they've done a pretty good job so far.

Direct action is the only way to force change.

Look what is happening at Wigan. I am afraid you can never be certain of anything these days.

i would love to witness a fa cup victory for wrexham fc and then fall back to our natural level between league one and league two some people associated with our club now see a clean sheet against the likes of chorley as some kind of achievement

Absolutely, and have you heard what's happened to Bury? Anyway, enjoyed the league one play offs so far, featuring Oxford, Wycombe and Fleetwood.

Since Wrexham's last promotion, Wigan have achieved five of their own, eight seasons in the Premier League and won the FA Cup. It's unfortunate the situation they've found themselves in, but no way even now would they entertain the idea of swapping places with us.

We can either carry on as we are, slowly getting worse and worse until there's virtually nothing left, or we can take a bit of a gamble and try and reverse this decline. You can't live in fear forever.

I am not against taking a gamble. However, Wigan are Hong Kong owned and were resold to another Hong Kong company four weeks ago. This week the new owners put the club into administration, triggering a possible 12 point deduction. There have been rumours of betting on them being relegated which the 12 point deduction could significantly influence. Which gamble do we take?

What makes you think a private owner would be worse that what we have now? Every private owner, good, bad or indifferent has finished the league higher than we are now. If supporters had any influence with the club being supporter owned, that would be something to celebrate at least, but the current board are acting in Complete isolation as If they were private owners, whilst not even having the decency to spend their own money.

They are playing fantasy football manager at the expense of all other fans.
