investors owning the majority share with a token fan representation, not much else will work, forget the ideological fantasy world, it is well meaning and noble but tried and tested and does not work, it only works where there is an absolutely huge fan base and therefore individuals with the appropriate expertise, clearly this is not available to us if we continue to experiment with a social club project, a slow lingering painful demise is awaiting us

Is RP really a hotbed of anti-supporter ownership? There are a lot of people here who don't want the current board in charge. Looking at Bagger's post here, it's fairly easy to see why. Just because many posters are not keen on being run by a group of malignant, toxic individuals who seem to do whatever they want and will make personal attacks on people they dislike doesn't mean we're automatically anti-supporter ownership.

Personally, I've been pushing for supporter ownership since before Simon Johnson described Dickens and Moss as the only people interested in the club. That doesn't mean I'm happy with the horrific behaviour of those in charge - sure, they're supporters, but the people who did that to Bagger are absolute scum, which plays more into my views of them than the fact that they're supporters does.
