Aren't a good chunk of the club board on the WST board too?

Whilst all the others remain up and available. Maybe Don's not reacted too kindly to the comments. Do you still have the original minutes downloaded? It'll be interesting to see if there's any ammendments when they get uploaded again.

It is likely anyone who accessed the minutes have a copy due to how the website works.

It is interesting to note the meeting after it is stated "The minutes of the May meeting were discussed and agreed as accurate". So it was an agreed accurate set of minutes.

Perhaps it has been pulled to correct some formatting, as on the copy I saved it had one typo

"Unauthorised loansLoans
The board discussed these at length. Concerns were voiced regarding Mr Bircham acting without informing the board and there was a feeling that we need to check transactions from that era. An independent enquiry would cost a substantial sum and it was felt that now was not the time to spend non-essential funds. It was agreed to come back to this when the current crisis has abated."

There could be a very straightforward reason why.

I did set up an alert service for some articles a little while ago which would tell me when anything changed. I get 30 free alerts a month before I had to start paying.

My 30 alerts were used up in a few days.

We seem to lurch from one farce to another these days. I've really stopped caring as much but it's still sad to see.

Only popped on to see if there was anything new happening, these bunch of idiots really can’t stop themselves can they.

It’s weekly Publishing how shit they actually are with management given their assurances that they have all “skills”, it’s hard to believe people actually considered the club had never been ran better ... whilst being a mid table conference club what did we all expect!

Bored of it all now, this is all the club will be until it’s gone, last post for me for the foreseeable, I give up with this circus.

It could be nothing in fairness, like you say, very much worth comparing any edits though. I doubt Bircham is going to be happy about this.

Either he's acted alone, put money in and then taken money back out of the club all without anybody realising or others were aware but they're putting it all on him.

Surely, in any sane world, tens or hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of loans would need to be signed off by the financial director as a must, along with with another.

Whether it was paid off the same month or not, surely such a large amount of money shouldn't be able to leave the club's bank account without multiple people knowing.

Were there no safeguards to who could approve money coming in and out of the club. If such measures are/were in place then I don't see how it's not accusing Bircham of forgery?

Paid back in less than a month or not, how does that much sort of money move around without the financial director either not knowing or need to approve it?

That is utter madness that they've put that in the public domain.

An enquiry is never going to happen either... all to placate members who aren't happy they didn't know about the loan.

His name doesn't appear very often and I don't know why. If any board member would have known about these loans, and been aware of what happened amidst all the shoddy communication that followed, surely it would have been him?
