I've had the resolutions through. You can appoint a proxy if you can't attend the meeting as I have done.

Not being disrespectful to anyone but as long as you have the patience to read the dense text its not difficult stuff and each one of you/us who is a member has a voice and a vote.

If you want change then you're playing into the hands of those you want out saying the voting system is all too difficult/ boring and shouting on an Internet forum instead.

I don't think it's a case of it being difficult or boring, just that the resolutions only get acted on if the board feel like doing it. I'm not a member any more because it seems utterly pointless - which I appreciate is a defeatist point of view, but, well, yeah, the board defeated me, and others like me.

I’ve voted. I notice on some of the resolutions it states they only need a 51 % majority. Why is that when previously it’s been communicated any resolution needs a 75 % majority?

Only resolutions that alter the constitution need the 75% majority. Details are all in the rules.

As someone who understands these procedures can you explain -

When entering the on line voting system one votes to - agree / disagree / or abstain. Then at the end of the procedure you are asked to offer your proxy to
a The Chair of the meeting or
b A need individual who will be attending.

I the past when voting - my vote was recorded directly
without reference to a proxy.
This was the same with other organisations I am a member of. Why does a member have to refer his / her vote to The Chair or another member?

The letter states if you cannot attend the meeting, does this mean in person or can't attend via zoom.

As I understand it? The votes on this occasion and for the future will be counted by a fully independent organisation prior to being sent on to the EMG. The EMG chair will then "Cast the votes" as collated if you've ticked that proxy option.

There has been some concern that in previous elections there may have been some dodgy voting.

Dodgy voting ??? Wow The physical votes were always counted by a rep from Salop or Chester went they?
I prefer paper voting to on line. If you want opportunity for dodgy just go on line. Look at countries around the world voting records.
