I prefer paper voting to on line. If you want opportunity for dodgy just go on line. Look at countries around the world voting records.
I'm not sure how it's so difficult for people to comprehend the potential flaw in previous voting

Results that were cast online, were accessible by our it expert and digital guru director.

Those results had to be extracted into a suitable format. I was told this was an excel document.

Then they were forwarded to the independent person.

As soon as those results were extracted from the online database, there was no way to confirm if the server side results matched the extract version. Unless you had access to both sets of data you simply could not verify that the votes were valid.

The dodgy voting was speculation by some members. I can see how it might happen but there is no proof that anything underhand did occur.
The loans were by no means dodgy. They were however not declared at the time to the trust board which was against the rules.

What about breaking rules on minimum numbers of board members? I've also heard rumours of 9 people putting their name forward, but only 8 being carried forward for some reason.

Do you know how many loans their were exactly?
And how much each was for?
And why didn't they go through the books?

If you dont the answers how can you say they were not dodgy if you haven't got all the facts?

I believe the ninth person said on Facebook that their membership lapsed without them realising it and therefore they hadn't been a member long enough to stand.

I've just realised this. I do the same and note that my last membership is for 19/20....

When does that expire? 31 July?

"Nb – Existing members who are not able to renew will still hold valid membership for the upcoming AGM"

Not sure about the EGM though
