Did George Porter (Chirk) or John Goodwin (Garth) ever get a trial for Wrexham?

They were both protegés of Harold Potter (Chirk).

George was a welsh amateur international, as in those days, john could of been as well.george is still going strong, john died a few years ago.2 very good cricketers as well
