Money is ringfenced for this scheme so we have to re-sign Dibble and Rutherford and get relegated.
End up part time.
However we have good links with the Council and all is okay.

My fear is that the board believe they can build what they’ve detailed for that budget.

That’s before we get onto it being a waste of money as the site isn’t big enough!
A council owned Gym near me recently was fully refurbished at a cost of £240k. Using that figure, the figures given seem well out.

Got a gut feeling we're taking the site on to get kudos with the council to help aid the Kop redevelopment.

There seems to be a lot of extra costs in the small print. The first £10,000 of the costs(payment to beneficiaries) of removing/modifying the restrictive covenant to be borne by Wrexham Football Club, should this be applicable.

What interest is there for the club in 'saving the groves', and saved from what exactly?

It does raise a secondary point, are we going to be the leading reason for the legal challenge to lifting of the much debated covenant on the site, and is that just the field or will it be the building too - and will that magically aid redevelopment plans for that?

There is strong feeling over the topic locally, so what happens if that challenge is lost? The doom and gloom Plan B option to assess other sites will have to come into play regardless as we get booted off the 9 Acre for the school.

There is a scenario that we help get the covenant lifted, exercise break clause in 10 years time, and suddenly there is a valuable piece of land in the town centre ripe as you say for dolls houses / flats. Is that the 'saving' you mean?

Well at least, taking the club to the bottom of the National League, and almost getting relegated hasn't knocked their confidence in making big decisions..

Why is the Groves site “legendary” haha? Is this another “spiritual home” Spincer line?

It’s an eyesore now that needs knocking down.

Bingo.

The Groves site is nothing more than quid-pro-quo, as WCBC don't have a clue what to do with it.
