Ok I am a bit concerned with the Groves site. Not only the really low cost estimates that in my experience are ridiculously low, but more in the size of the area. I understand that we are a non league club, but we are or should be an ambitious non league club with an eye on football league football and that's what we should be aiming for. The Groves area that is being offered to us is no where near big enough for a football league club with a youth system to train at. I would be keen to here the supporters that have voted for, whether they believe the training ground would be sufficient for a league one team, or do they believe we will need to move again if we get promotion, which should be our aim next season, shouldn't it? By voting for, are we really accepting our low level and are we really saying this club is happy to stay at this level or even a league below for years to come. What are the alternatives? Have we actually carried out an options report, showing other potential sites and then showing Groves as the best option and why, have we then carried out a feasibility study to show the potential of the site and can it be used as a league clubs training ground, is there room to extend? Without these studies being undertaken, how is it possible to come out and tell us this is our only option as it's in Wrexham? How many of the first team or even youth team live in Wrexham, as last time I looked our youth team is mostly kids from outside the town, and the first team mostly live outside the town.

There is an article on Wrexham.com today about the Groves site. Have a look and see what the general public have to say on the subject from a different perspective.

Relax, it’s now not happening.

Just read in the latest update that this project is to be financed by the fans. Good luck with that.

Can't see planning permission being a problem. But removing the covenant could be difficult.

But if you don’t donate handsomely ‘you aren’t a real Wrexham fan’

What a decision the 1200 members will have to make now..Give their hard earned money to try and improve the football team or donate to the Groves junket or of course do both and pay double what they do now

They'll take it from the players' budget. Keates is too much of a yes man to argue against it.

We'll have the shiniest training ground in the Conference North.

We'll have a field with some fencing and a gravel car park at best.

All that money wasted on absolutely nothing. Scandalous.
