Yes but Alty is limited probably , size of crowds etc , can only go so far in the pyramid , and same applies to Wrexham with the present set up . But potential in the right hands is probably best out there right now with crowd potential .

What is the worst that can happen if we buy a larger amount of land? We don't develop it and get taxed on it? How much would that come to for an extra 4 acres or so?
Not sure that’s a correct comparison to make. If the land at the Groves is free, the comparison you make should be between the Groves with no capital purchase or leasing cost, or purchasing around 11 acres at a suitable site elsewhere. Both would need pitch & facility development.

Regarding the size, the Groves is a couple of acres bigger than Stansty Park, our previous training ground until 1998, when we were a league club, but smaller than Colliers, which is about 10 acres.

This board could propose to take a dump on your Christmas dinner and you'd still get all their cult luvvies voting for it, arms outstretched begging 'me first'.

You cannot pick up on what you believe to be an incorrect comparison then use a training ground which we stopped using 22 years ago as a comparison.

All that money wasted on absolutely nothing. Scandalous.
Honestly it’s going to look horrendous isn’t it. Think Jones Bar. Everything done on the cheap and wonky. I’d rather the players train at Morgan Llwyd and then use DW for the gym.

What your mates are proposing will cost twice what they think it will.

I don’t think pitches have got any bigger in the last 22 years? Pretty sure we were training at Stansty when we were a division 2 team, and using the Racecourse for parking, changing etc. The players used to run to and from the training ground along Mold Road. Hamilton took Stansty from us, unfortunately, but that’s another story.
