It was required by the FA of Wales to bring the area up to international standards and was, I believe, paid for by the FAW.

Didn't know this.

At the start of the 2019/20, Bryan Hughes was working with a £1,256,900 playing budget as revealed by the Reds in a question and answer session with the club’s operational board back in December last year.

The likes of macintosh, chambers etc wouldn’t have upped sticks and come to Wrexham for low wages.

Its the budget he was given that gets me. Happy to be corrected but Saunders had a budget of around that and that team finished 2nd.
Hughes / Keates team finished 20th and hit rock bottom in the process. Incredible stuff and shines a light on the incompetence that's running through the club.

And to think Spencer had the audacity to defend the appointment of Hughes on Radio Wales.

I wonder if that includes the extra cash we know he was given?

Wasn’t Saunders budget purely wages? Our “playing budget“ could include all sorts of so-called playing costs.

Giving Hughes the job was always going to be a disaster. I’m amazed there were enough people on the board who thought otherwise.

Now, now.....come on, the club has never been ran better and there's no one who could do it better in any case.

You must tow the party line or you will be punished !!!!!

If Hughes had one of the biggest budgets since we have been down here, it goes a long way to show exactly how awful he was.

Some of the signings smacked of us not having enough budget to compete, where the hell did he invest his money? JJ Hooper I would imagine would be one?

Don't blame Hughes, blame those who gave him the job.

The money that's been wasted at this club is scandalous and the board should be held to account over this. But some fans are still intent on giving them a free pass for reasons unknown
