Well Hughes was a disaster at Scarborough in his first management role so maybe Wrexham is the reverse a haven for shit managers to come to after they have done terrible in there last job

The mere fact that Hughes got the job , then Keates again should suggest there is a problem really . If through previous applications there were certain individuals not quite ready at the time , but in a better position now were taken on , why weren't they , either laziness or what we thought at the time cheapness got those two the job , but we've since discovered it wasn't cheapness .

Hughes was a mental appointment. With Keates you could see the logic but it was lazy and wreckless to go against the fans and completely uninspiring. Barrow and Davies they went for continuity.

Every appointment has the same sort of feel to it though. A cheap yes man to work with Darlington.

The last 2 managers that did well here went on to manage in league one.

Anybody suggesting otherwise is not applying common sense and simply guessing.

I agree with what you're saying, also a shame the lack of common sense was by those who chose Hughes and then Keates

Speaking of Darlington, didn't his contract expire 30 days ago?

I still don't believe, not is there is evidence to suggest, that we would not be an attractive opportunity for someone looking into management first off.
The career that they want in management obviously?

Nail meet head. Hence why the number of applicants has been so low and why Ricketts wanted rid of him because the players hate him. Apparently Askey didn't want Darlington either and wanted his own coaching staff and was basically told a straight no. You'd think Darlington had actually achieved something in the game if you listened to the club board. He must of photo's of them up to no good or something. In inexplicable.

I would have thought so as well. I suspect many prospective managers have no clue about what is going on behind the scenes.

Come on now Mr O, we know full well contract renewals and such aren't something we're deemed worthy of being told about anymore
