I guess this will put their support under threat.

The dominoes are falling quickly, and it will hurt us badly.

Also worth adding that this is incredibly troubling news for all those impacted especially with many no doubt having gone through the turbulence of the Thomas Cook collapse and on the off chance that any of them were to see this deepest sympathies to you.

For big chain travel agents, Covid19 was the straw that broke the Camels back. For years now, folks have become confident enough to book their own holidays on line. A travel agent only becomes useful, when we need advice or don't really know about where we are going.
I am crap at IT, but I have only used a travel agent twice in 20 years. This blow, may well help the struggling independent agent, who are worth their weight in gold. Cue - Liberty Travel in Oswestry.

I did wonder why they took on all those Thomas Cook shops last year. Who uses high street shops to book holidays these days?

It was a bit crazy and we then had 2 HT shops across from each other in our one horse town (Nantwich) with very few customers.

A cracking little town with functioning market and shopping area. (pre covid) Add to that one of the better non league football clubs in Cheshire plus popular cricket club. Active Chamber of Trade, Weaver wonderer , Food festival. Battle of Nantwich, etc etc
and its own fire station
Not bad for a one horse town.

Shopping is altogether more pleasant experience than Wrexham. Sole Traders that you can talk to and less closed up stores. Mind you, there's far more affluence there - its Cheshire, you know!
