Macclesfield major shareholder and effective owner is trying his best to off load his 'interest' Not sure if the council still own the ground (Bought for 380,000 a few years ago) and its in a decent part of the town. Ownership isn't as good as its made out to be perhaps.

It has to be. I reckon anyway!

Someone needs to make an offer, but the offer is their plans for the club e.g. £5m investment over 5 years plus a new ground and a sponsorship package (or whatever)

The WST can't turn around and say, "thats great but we need £2m just to buy it."

That £2m 'purchase' price needs to be part of the money put in to the club.

Selling the club seems to be the only piece of silverware left for the WST to be able to afford to build the training ground.

"Buy the club and we'll build you a training ground"?

The club is going to pay for a valuation from what I remember.

Why won't someone pay for it?

Thanks for the compliment about my devotion! Not quite sure about my leanings especially as you don't know me.

I am not misguided re the trust but I am completely and utterly wary of potential owners and supposed consortia
Folk do out for nowt and until I can ce convinced that a prospective new owner has
1. Serious resources that are not borrowed or linked to any shady groups.
2.genuine and proven financial acumen not just raising cash from a few mates and then trying to run the club.
3.it is Not unreasonable to test either of these via some sort of bond. It happens in most other areas..
My real gripe is not blind loyalty to the wst but the bitterness displayed on here and the lack of clarity and openess of the critics with allegation and innuendo that is rarely supported with factual evidence that I can test.
Simply telling us every day to sell the club and get rid of the alleged clique is not enough. There has to be a genuine and economically viable alternative. Tell me who has sensiblybid for the club who can satisfy my first two criteria. And let's not discuss those who have never shown interest eg Morgan etc. Or you know someone who knows someone else who told you !

Because the current owners want the new owner to put as much money into the club as possible. I would hope.

Did you email him to ask about the bid and why fans have not been told? Don't you think it's odd those vehemently against anything but fan ownership create a survey proposing alternatives?

Like i said in the post you ignored, I bet it goes straight in the bin.
