Imagine if we were privately owned and just escaped relegation with a £1.2m wage budget. They’d be phoning up and threatening families before you knew it.
And that's why I like sites like RP. You get both viewpoints, healthy and sometimes lively debate.

On there it's become a cult.

It's their ilk who'll have the begging bowl out again just now.

And we can call recount many other decisions which ( in hindsight ) could have been better.

I'm a member of WST but don't necessarily believe in fans ownership. Given what we went through with Hamilton et al, we've clearly been too cautious but I guess understandable based on the fact those in charge undoubtedly love the club and don't want us being in that position again.

9 vacancies on the board and only 7 applicants .... Is it any wonder given the abuse they get?

I'm one of those members who usually doesn't get the opportunity to go to meetings and vote so yesterday was a rare chance for me to get involved. Everyone who joined the meeting had the opportunity to speak against the resolutions yet nobody did ... If people are so worried, why was this?

The 5th resolution hopefully gives some hope that different ownership options may be explored always ensuring we have sufficient safety nets in place.

As for the training ground, the guys have seemingly secured a prime site for £1 a year over 99 years - why would anyone possibly think that is a bad deal? The land itself is likely to be worth 7 figures+. It was clear that a lot of effort has already gone into the project with a hell of a lot left to do and many bumps in the road ahead no doubt. I thought Spencer did very well in setting realistic expectations as regards what & when.

Yes we all want money investing in the team but the training ground project doesn't have to interfere with that. There will be grants / funding available for capital projects that would not be available for building a team / running the club.

There are many clubs that would love to be in our position - Coventry, Macclesfield, Bury, Wigan to name but a few.

One of these days I'll hopefully have the time to invest some of my time into this club that I have loved for over 40 years and by then I can only hope that by then there is a greater sense of positivity than we have now.

I’m glad this is all over, none of the parties come out it well. Frankly neither does Red Passion. Ironic isn’t it that it’s strap line is ‘we still believe’ and ‘I’m Wrexham till I die’ Not much evidence of that from the majority of posts I have read recently. Instead of being part of the solution there’s a great danger RP will be viewed as part of the problem. We talk about inviting top drawer managers, and for that matter owners, to the club that’s not likely to happen if the supporters declare war on the club, or those who run it. Let’s draw a line under things before it’s too late.

Instead they're abusing those who say they're unhappy with the situation.

For me, sadly, I think it's already too late. I DON'T believe anymore. As one of the people pushing hardest on here for full fans' ownership all those years ago, I envisioned people I trusted in charge carrying out the wishes of the membership after democratic votes. The Birchamgate stuff was the final nail in the coffin when it came to trusting the club board; the second disabled platform and the shadowing votes not being properly acted on disabused me of the idea that they'd act on anything they didn't want to.

(I have no idea what the solution is, btw, which is one of the reasons I don't believe anymore.)

Coventry just won league one, but yeah I'm sure they would trade all that away for near relegation from the national league.

This alone shows how apathetic the fans have become. Changing mangers, hiding mistakes paying off managers and assistants, always going for the cheapest option other than Mills, Denis Lawrence fiasco, rehiring DK against the majority of fans wishes. Hiding money loss in accounts, begging bowls out again, the loss of 1.8 million because of buffoonery of the highest order. If you want to draw a line under that then you are just as accountable as the board and WST for Wrexham’s subterranean decline.
