Do I have to attend the meeting for my vote to count?

It really does surprise me that only 400 odd people voted last week on a resolution requiring big investment when it was so easy to vote online. (Unless I’m reading the results wrong, which is a strong possibility!)

No thats correct. Apathy prevails or perhaps a lot of people just thought it was a great deal by the board and a good idea and assumed it would go through?

Can I ask why the board are against this? Seems a no-brainer to me for all the reasons you put quite eloquently. Also, the added bonus is that you’d get a few local players in the first team and it might mean a bit more to them!

Think they are proposing to review structure, therefore wish to wait for that and they have concerns about cost.

I am a supporter of the board in practically everything bar the complete lack of football strategy and/or focus.

I think the time has come to push them a little harder on this issue and this is the ideal logical place to start.

There argument is they want to complete a review first. I don’t think they want a Director in charge of it.

As 3pm has pointed out on numerous occasions, and I 100% agree with him, none of the current board have a skill set that includes creating a football playing pathway and strategy - they need help and this role, along with the modest starting standards, will put us on that path. They do not know what is needed so we need them to be directed to find someone who does.

My view on this is that by establishing the coe structure before a review, it actually creates a greater consultation point for later... A first rough draft if you will. A review might then identify efficiencies or enhancements to that rough draft... Otherwise the outside consultation might end up being as simple as, well, basically setting out something like what is proposed here. Approving the resolution makes us more agile from a change perspective. Spencer talks a bit I noticed in the training ground presentation about being agile... Well project pop pickers, being agile is about changing fast, making refinements and never really being done with what you're building - continuous improvement

Yeah, a review sounds like it’s kicking the can down the road a little bit. I hope it goes through but at the very least it’s sounds As if you’ve brought the issue to the surface and started a discussion.
