Wanna bet? Take a wander over to that new Wrexham fans with no agenda facebook group.

Its terrifying. Most of them are so deluded and backwards they must be a danger to society in some way.

I heard last summer about some of the wages we were offering and I couldn't believe it, but it checks out when you read this story.

I know Redmond is on eye-watering money. Very little return on investment there. Pearson and Lainton also on very hefty money, but at least they're better performers.

Looks like last season the board finally backed a manager with a more than competive budget. Only issue was the manager was way out of his depth.

I think this is where egos are destroying us. Why do we need a competent DOF or experienced manager when we’ve got a board where every decision made is perfect? We could raise the budget to £5 million a season, get mid table and it’ll be more evidence of how well everyone’s doing at their job.

This lists 20 players at the start of last season. Does the 1.25 mill include budget for others?

1.25 mill / 20 = 60K average salary??? Given some of those players are first year pros that would mean some of the "pros" were on silly money for the conference.

That can't be right can it?
That's the first team budget rather than wages. I don't know precisely what that entails but players wages will be quite a bit less than 1.25 million.
Wild stab, I'd say closer to the 900k cap being mentioned.

Doesn't surprise me Redmond is on good money, he looked a great signing how wrong we were.

The board have picked a manager and backed their man. In their head they were doing the right thing, its just as you say, they picked the wrong bloke in the first place. Imagine we gave that money to someone half decent, different conversation.

We can't afford a DoF to manage a budget and recruitment properly, but we can afford flames in the tunnel and wasting €1.25 million on a relegation level squad.

Its not about the cost, it never has been, its all about control, and they don't want to give it up

What else comes out of Bryan Hughes' budget aside from first team wages? Coaching wages?

If we’d have gotten Askey, may have cost a further £30k-£40k in salary, imagine what he’d have done with thy budget and ultimately how much money we’d have saved.
Small time thinking.
