I may be wrong but my guess is he has learnt his lesson, the grass isn't always greener and he is less likely than any other manager to jump ship if we are doing well. The board have shown faith in him twice and I would expect him to work his nuts off to repay them and prove the doubters wrong.

Or you could say he’s already shown his true colours and how he would act in that situation. You can’t honestly think he wouldn’t go again if another l1 team came in for him?

working his nuts off will not help he actually needs to use some intelligence and start playing some decent football and stop this overly negative hoof ball that bores the hell out of the fans and get the opposition on the back foot and get the fans cheering instead of just sitting there or booing

How do we reunite the fanbase?

Personally I'd like to see the new WST chairman take the bull by the horns and address the grievances and issues we have. We can't keep avoiding these answers. It was stated at the time of the operational board Q&A that there would be a Q&A with the WST board. Now is the perfect time to do it

Id also like to see some new faces on the club board. Ideally James Kelly, if for nothing more than a change of demographic. I would have loved to have seen Sarah Howard-Smith on the club board but sadly she's no longer on the WST board. Matthew Scott would make a great addition as well, there'd certainly be more hope for change with him on the board.

How do you propose we move forward? What changes would you like to see?
.......we don't, we continue to go backwards until these muppets push us to the edge of extinction and then do a runner before an interested investor picks up the Club for peanuts as we flounder due to years of mismanagement.......but at least we have a club eh?....or maybe not by the time this shower finally understand they are not wanted here!

The main priority for now is survival and whilst we remain 100% fan owned it is entirely in our hands that the club succeeds where I suspect many will fail. Outside investment is also key but it will be difficult to find this in the current economical climate let alone if we not all seen to be wanting success.

We fundamentally disagree on the manager's position. I believe we need stability here more than ever. Once appointed Keates should be given opportunity to take us forward and an opportunity to recruit his own squad. He should be safe in his post for at least 3 months of a new season and if he does get a decent budget then we then will need to see us challenging.

Therefore, why not drop the KEATES OUT banner and try and get behind the manager and team and I'm sure others will follow your example.
We all want to move on from the issues we've had but we can't without accountability for them. Certain things can be left to be swept under the carpet but others simply cannot.

The lies told about Don Bircham (who has arguably done more for the club than any board member has), the false board minutes and seemingly throwing a major sponsor under the bus to preserve their own positions needs accountability. The precedent that sets going forward without any resignations is incredibly dangerous. I'm amazed it hasn't been addressed yet.

As for Dean Keates, there's been no humility from him. When asked about fans feelings towards him returning he simply stated "it is what it is". If he were to apologise or write an open letter to fans to try and build bridges I'd have more respect for him and I'd be willing to cut him a little slack. He even stated his intention to build bridges with the fanbase but then refused to do a Meet the Manager. As much as I completely disagree with bringing Keates back the anger is with the board for another terrible appointment and disrespecting the club. It would be a refreshing change of pace for Keates to at least admit wrongdoing and try to engage with fans after leaving under the circumstances. I won't hold my breath though

Like he worked his nuts off last season nearly getting us relegated?

As a club we cannot move forward. There are so many people myself included who have had enough and are giving up on the club. The current board are so far up there own arses they couldn't see the sun from two feet away.

Unless there is a person with a clear vision how to move the club forward who can united the fans we will be bust in two years and as i said in a previous thread the current board are the sort of lot who will let the club sink rather than let anyone come in to save it.

Just having a club mearly existing, is starting not to be enough. Changing managers, changing half the team every year. How is the club suppose to progress. When it seems the reset button is pressed every year. We need to start building a squad of players who defend well and take chances. Play a high tempo flowing game, equaviant to liverpool but at a league 5 level of player.

The team over the years is stagnant, not progressing or improving. Usually tell over the summer about who we sign and how the team plays in the first 10 games. That it's just another non season and it's just another reset next year. Rinse and repeat.
