A sad loss. Wrexham through and through, and a good guy, too.

RIP, Mark.

A great man and whenever I spoke to him you could always see how passionate he was about the club

RIP Mark

Very sad. I remember him in the Railway pub in the Late 1970s and early 1980s, chatting with the players who used to drink there - Gareth Davies, Dwyer etc. He seemed very knowledgeable about the game.

Mark and I were Railway quiz team-mates and friends.

Sad news, I remembered reading his columns growing up. He seemed a bit overly critical of the club in later years but he was certainly not the only one! RIP

Rip - I think his willingness to be critical of the club in his writing was a sign of a proper journalist that we don't seem to see as much of now. I may not have agreed with every word but big loss for our respective community this.

Marc was a very professional journalist who I got to know well through our good friend and fellow Llay resident, Albert Edwards, formerly of Gwersyllt. Both Albert & I thoroughly enjoyed reading his regular comprehensive reporting of Wrexham AFC, not only in the Daily Post but also in the Non-League Paper. We enjoyed his company too. Marc's passing is indeed a very sad loss to both journalism and the footballing fraternity, not just throughout North Wales but also further afield. Our thoughts and sympathy are extended to Marc's wife and family. RIP Marc.

He often commented on here under the RP name of Leftfoot (I think). He was a staunch Wrexham supporter but wasn’t averse to criticising if he thought it was warranted. RIP Mark, his brother Andy also passed away recently.
