No idea. That p and l made desperate reading and it's clear the current model can't be sustained at the current level. However, no doubt the current model is sustainable further down the pyramid or in the WPL.

My gut feeling is they having one last throw of the dice before all hell breaks loose.

Independent of any personal views on fan ownership, the WST or the current board, I hope to god we do survive.

I've invested too much time, money and emotion into this club to just let it die.

For all of the heartache and shit times of recent years, some of my highest highs have come from following Wrexham.

The games against Rotherham, Anderlecht, Newcastle, Bristol City, Arsenal and many others were better than any drugs!!

If we don't survive we could always dish out some medicine that Lindsay and co were so keen to administer years ago to rubbish owners who ruined or tried to ruin the club.

So that might mean visiting board members homes and letting them know how we feel, just like Lindsay did. Nothing illegal obviously, just calm peaceful protests.

It is a dangerous budget that i was flabbergasted to read. We are already £200k short and it makes no allowance for unforseen circumstances (that aren't actually that unforseen!!) Such as the season being curtailed, games having to be played behind closed doors etc.
Honestly I am worried that we could end up in administration before this season is done if we are committing money we dont have on wages.

well given all that info it is clear outside investment will have to be the way forward unless the board are hoping for one more go to get it right, the problem is i think now there are too many people who are not interested in the board and this could be the season we go under or down, now is the time to look for a saviour

I think our current funds (club and WST combined) were approaching £350k at the AGM.
We also will be taking out a £50k government bounce back loan.
Loss is projected at around £450k so we have around £50k deficit.

It seems obvious to me that the gamble is on covid restrictions being lifted, gate income and other match day income therefore coming into play.
The other side of that go in is covid restrictions hardening and even the 2600 paying customers being lost for some games.

The WST are in last chance saloon, the money will dry up, they will remain unreceptive of any external investment and it will be begging bowls out again.

Holding fans to ransome.

"Save your club or we will have no other option but to apply to join the WPL"

Then they will be in the perfect position as far as they are concerned, either the rans show that they support the WST by bailing them out, or they blame the fact that we reluctantly join the WPL on the lack of support from the fanbase.

Yup.

After all the best time to bugger-off is when the club's really on the cliff edge, right?
