WST Board meeting tonight

I think there was a meeting last week to co opt 2 new board members in order to to make the board the 12 required to be legitimate.

Another due tonight to elect it's officers, new Chair and Vice Chair - and possibly a new WAFC board member?

Personally, I'm hoping the extremely well respected Steve Lloyd gets the Chair role, who is your choice?

Whoever is chosen I'm afraid it won't make enough of a difference to change things for the better long term.

I do.

A number of those who have entrenched the club in it's current state are still in post, I don't think shifting their doctrin is viable due to this.

Steve is a great guy and imo brings a lot to the table but I wouldn’t think he is strong enough to stand up to the club board getting their own way and wouldn’t be my choice.

Steve believes very much in the trust model and maybe wouldn’t challenge or support anything that pushes against this so he wouldn’t be my choice it needs to be the strongest character on the trust board to hold the football club board to account

Wouldnt it be 3 new FC board members

Spencer and Gavin Jones don't automatically go back onto the FC board

Given the failures over the past 18 months and the incredibly low vote percentages Gavin and Spencer got in the affirmative vote you'd say if the WST was a democratic organisation with self respect then both wouldn't be on the FC board going forward

You could perhaps make the case for Spencer with his work on the new Kop project but you can't make the case for Gavin Jones though
