Conversely. The thinking may be to arrange the longer trips for the first games to discourage travelling fans as coach travel will be overly expensive due to Social Distancing etc.

Surely they’ll ban away fans initially for all games to minimise people travelling across the country.

You raise a serious point. Will the WG allow crowds if the Covid trajectory keeps worsening?

No crowds equals no viable income.

More than likely the thinking will be that the National League computer will randomly select who plays where with the normal exception of some local matches over Xmas and Easter. We shall see shortly.
Much more interested in whether we can get back into the stadium safely and if any away fans will be allowed.

Only option we have is charging for streams, but that's very open to abuse.

League still suggest that 10% of capacity is made available for away support.
Wrexham are making arrangements to accommodate that but hope to be able to pre sell the away tickets so that any returned could be used for home fans allowing for segregation.

So how can we sell blocks of ten? Any spikes and this WGov will put the blocks on. Sounds like a nightmare to me.

The away fans issue is a massive one.

It has been suggested that games will only serve home fans.

Danger is, and I can't see it that the League change the rules part way through the season as opposed to the start - giving home clubs a greater advantage - for example we could go to Stockport with no fans or 1600.

I for one will not be travelling to any away games even if permitted by supporters coach - one sure way during winter months to greatly increase the potential to catch colds / flu not to mention Covid.

As for the fixture list - it's never an easy task for the NL to produce a set of fixtures week in and week out to cater for all clubs which will satisfy everyone - in fact a headache and a half.
