We talked at length about this at the start of the broadcast, but clearly there were good reasons why you didn't hear it! I'm going to put the discussion out as a podcast later in the week, but here it is in a nutshell:

Were it not for the restrictions of playing a game behind closed doors in COVID-safe conditions, we'd have hoped to have streamed yesterday's game. We're still looking into that, so keep checking the club's social media to see if we manage to sort it out. It's surprisingly challenging in the circumstances!

As for league games, again there are possibilities that it will happen but it's essentially out of the club's hands: in some respects National League media rights is a bit of a free-for-all, but it looks like this is an area they might be looking at. Again, there's a chance it could happen, but we don't really have control of that.

There are certainly some downsides to Mixlr, but it's not too expensive for us, it's free for fans and the sound quality's good, so at the moment it'll be what we use. However, again you need to keep your eyes peeled as we might be able to offer other options for listening to the commentaries. Again, nothing certain just yet though, so we'll have to see!

I honestly didn't realise I was a giggler: I guess I just saw myself as a friendly type of bloke. I see part of an interviewer's job to be putting an interviewee at ease, and as I've never met Thomas before I wanted to present a friendly face, but evidently it's something that has got under your skin so I will take your advice on board. To be honest, I've not been paid to broadcast since the 1990s, so I reckon you're probably getting what you paid for - sorry about that!!!

I like the interviews, to me you make it seem like a friendly chat rather than a business-as-usual approach which I like.

I'm hardly expecting a Paxman-esque grilling of our players, nor would I want it, especially not in pre-season.

The wind is an issue and, whilst I don't expect you to control the weather, hopefully you can get equipment to minimise it. Maybe even strategically pick where on the pitch you conduct your interview so a stand can act as a shield from the wind?

Keep up the good work though.

This. Absolutely. I breath a sigh of relief when I know you’re commentating. Keep up the great work Mark.

Thanks for the update. Please do not take criticism seriously. I have been called a 'happy clapper' a 'crayon eater' and my wifes interest in me has been called into question and i could care less. You do your best and most people can see that and applaud it.

I had forgotten my password yesterday and it took me until half time to get back on-line. It kept telling me that user name had been used which I knew!!
I don't usually bother logging in to Mixlr, it plays the commentary anyway I just can't comment unless I log in.

Yeah but in your case, they were right

I keep saying this but its a social media platform where you won't please everyone all the time.

Enjoy the plaudits, ignore the criticism and support the team - simples.

BTW - only joking Mr Moyn!!
