Wrexham 2 Salford City Xi 1
 

Pre season fixture played today at the Racecourse.

Whilst the Salford City first eleven were in L2 action at home to Exeter City they sent a team to play us.

Game was not 90 minutes but split into 3 x 40 ? minute sessions.

Wrexham goals scored by Jake Bikerstaff and trialist E who I have been told is the ex Barrow striker Byron Harrison.

Thought this game was worth a mention and a nice distraction from the Donald Trump takeover lol.

Anybody who watched the game through the gaps in the kop gates who can add to the information ?

Poor game little to report Lainton made a couple of decent saves early on. Left before the goals 😔

Bickerstaff took his goal well, could have had a hat-trick on another day. That Triallist (Harrison) is in the goals, too.

Granted it's Salford's B team but still, decent win.

More minutes, no injuries, another win, strikers getting goals for confidence... next some more realistic tests and also need to work away fixtures as 50% of games this season will not be played on a carpet and under massive floodlights!! Good workout from the highlights mind and looking forward to the new season starting in earnest - COYR!!
