I think starting with a position of cynicism is completely right. That said, there may be very good reasons and I hope that before negotiations are entered into (if the vote goes through) the motivations are thoroughly investigated.

In a way because we don't have particularly good material assets (land etc) under our control we should be fairly safe from the types of shady customers we've had before.

Mh personal view is that In the current climate the WST are vulnerable financially and it might be the perfect time to sell, if the right people have come forward.

It seems a very positive statement, and nominal figure to buy out with a large promised cash injection which in the covid world could be the difference between survival or not.

If discussions progress, I wonder if there will be scope for guaranteed fan rep on board or even a minority shareholding to ensure there is a legal safeguard in future. These new bidders may be great, but who comes after them etc etc.

I do feel if that is the route taken there has been a huge opportunity basically blown to make fan ownership work.

As long as it's not Steven Vaughan we'd be mad to turn this down. The Trust saved the club but this is what's needed to take us forward

The wording of the statement by the WST is interesting. It already implies they see this as a trustworthy approach so to me it’s a no brainer. Let’s get the club sold !
