I would be amazed if it is the owner of Moneypenny. A very close family member used to work there and have regular meetings with Ed. Firstly I don't think he is overly interested in football. Secondly, he doesnt waste a penny on something that won't yield a significant return.
Local businessmen who invest in their local club tend to be fans first and very rich second. He is certainly the latter but I doubt he is the former.

I have a family member working there. They are thinking of calling people who work from home back to the office has it seems they take longer to tale a call from home and they are losing money. It does not sound like they are going to invest money in a Football club.

Reading a few online comments it seems Quite a few Hartlepool fans seem to think it’s the same people that were looking at them a few weeks ago. Not sure why they think that mind.
