Default A very very high level proposal from the investors is contained within the resolution.

"A very very high level proposal from the investors is contained within the resolution".

I know....a long way to go and lots of negotiation, twists and turns.

But, would any potential investor see the current structure from top to bottom as a potential stumbling block?

If you had the cash and it looks like they (whoever they are) do, would you keep the current coaching structure as it is?

We have seen many examples of takeovers where ownership has changed hands and managers have been shown the door. Hughes at City, Ranieri at Chelsea etc

Whilst I appreciate that this is only 2m being invested and the examples given are in the tens of millions, would Keates be the first out of the door?

Would the new owners look to bring in a proven manager with experience of getting out of the league and into the Football League?

It is alright spending money and buying players, we all know that it is down to the leadership team.

I know.....we have a long way to go, but worth considering.

When they say 'very high level' I think it means the proposal is vague at this stage - a high level outline not going in to much detail. It's not a reference to how much cash the potential investors have available.

At this level, most of the players are much of a muchness and the coaches make a disproportionate difference, so we would be better off spending more on a decent coach like Ricketts than blowing cash on journeymen players.

I cant see them allowing Keates to sign 10 players and then ditching him

Have you watched the game highlights against Druids and Salford?
I was surprised how different we played compared to Keates standard tactics.

I am not sure that 10 minute highlight package against these level of opposition should be taken as overwhelming evidence of a change in keates tactics but fingers crossed 😊

The die is cast now, certainly until the January window.. Keates will be judged on what happens long before that.
If there is a takeover, I would imagine the new investors will be a bit more demanding than our present part time set up

I’m actually waiting for the fans to vote against it, a few abstain votes from the WST faithful it seems to happen with all votes they aren’t interested in but count as a no!
