Re: How would you spend £2m?
I would get rid of those in charge. They have already blown probally around £2million .They have had around 13 years to get us out of this division.
If we get it right on the pitch the rest will be a lot easier to achieve. The sad thing is we could gain promotion with home crowds of a limited 2600 (please correct me if i am wrong ) as wel as no away teams will be able to handle the hundreds that would want to travel away to watch us. We can only dream of joining the football league again. It's a great time to have money to spend on players. Cash is king at the moment. I wonder how much money will be needed to keep the club solvent. Let's hope better days are ahead for us all. Hopefully we can visit some decent away grounds with crowds that create a great atmosphere. No club deserves success automatically. Our fans have been magnificent over the years. Its them that deserve it more than most. I just wish the "Jacko,s" and Carl Tunbers were around to be part of a possibly bright future. Success is always sweeter after many years in the doldrums. Take care. May be dreams do come true. Or a nightmare knowing my luck. |

Re: How would you spend £2m?
Buy the ground from glyndwr. They could be in a sticky financial spot pretty soon with less foreign students coming this year. I'm sure they'd be open to a conversation.
If the redeveloped Kop finally happens we'd have a valuable asset. |

Re: How would you spend £2m?
Training ground is moot at point of sale I think... Assuming its a majority investment or a full takeover. Think about this logically even if the total investment is £2m then that values the WST stake presently at £4m+ which isn't realistic. Equally id assume that if this was a minority shareholding at 49% /51% then rate of investment would need to be similar which the wst can't match at those levels.
I suspect one bit of sale covenance must be to deliver a training ground within an agreed time frame. Groves or other...but given this isnt something which is immediate makes me wonder if its part of the initial investment at all. Suspect bulk of initial £2m is playing budget and minor facilities upgrades to maximise return... In other words get out of the conference to increase revenue in that way, improve kiosks etc to get some money when fans back in grounds. Invest in media equipment to deliver a streaming service during covid seem sensible suggestions Edit... Infrastructure improvements, so COE Also to expand on my point about investment rates... In a 49 to 51% split if the investors are pushing more than £2m in while wst investment remains fix it massively devalues the club... None of it makes sense therefore this surely has to be a full takeover or Wycombe model deal Last edited by -luke; 14th September 2020 at 19.51:45.. |
