It isn't really in these days. You think how quickly the Ward money disappeared. Also in these uncertain times that money might be required just to keep the club going.

We're going to lose about 40k in ticket sales every match we don't have fans on top of the 500k we're budgeted to lose. Half of it could quite easily have to be used to keep us afloat.

Equally id assume that if this was a minority shareholding at 49% /51% then rate of investment would need to be similar which the wst can't match at those levels.

I suspect one bit of sale covenance must be to deliver a training ground within an agreed time frame. Groves or other...but given this isnt something which is immediate makes me wonder if its part of the initial investment at all.

Suspect bulk of initial £2m is playing budget and minor facilities upgrades to maximise return... In other words get out of the conference to increase revenue in that way, improve kiosks etc to get some money when fans back in grounds. Invest in media equipment to deliver a streaming service during covid seem sensible suggestions

Edit... Infrastructure improvements, so COE

Also to expand on my point about investment rates... In a 49 to 51% split if the investors are pushing more than £2m in while wst investment remains fix it massively devalues the club... None of it makes sense therefore this surely has to be a full takeover or Wycombe model deal
The investors want to buy all of the shares and invest £2m Not buy 49%

So what happens to the funds in the WST bank including the Danny Ward money?

I think the Danny ward money gets distributed to members of WST. Like a dividend.

At this level, most of the players are much of a muchness and the coaches make a disproportionate difference, so we would be better off spending more on a decent coach like Ricketts than blowing cash on journeymen players.

You are right, £2 million is not a lot of money when it comes to running a football club. However, it dwarfs the cash reserves of the WST and takes no account of the revenues the club generates from its day to day operations, which under WST ownership, has been sufficient to fund a mid-table National League club. Investment of this nature COULD be massive.
