Three simple questions
1 Who has decided the potential investors pass the “ fit and proper test “ of an owner of a football club . Just look at what happened with Newcastle ( and that reached an agreed deal ) let alone wrexham with their previous owners or potential owners. 2 what is the commitment of the investors to this deal . Is there for example a non returnable deposit say 2.5 % of of the investment ( so say £50k) to cover the clubs professional costs . I think it is vital the club doesn’t run up advisory costs on a failed deal and the club needs the right advice . No issue from me on NDAs but the club has to have a cash commitment before a process starts. 3 I probably believe the value of the business is a nominal amount but what is guarantee if the club is sold for say a “£1” the funding of £2m does come through. How do you ensure the suggested £2m is invested ( once the club is bought ) and over what time scales ( eg 10 years or 1 year as opposite examples ) and for what can the “ guaranteed “ cash be used for . History also tells us previous football clubs have been bought and the promised cash never appeared eg Wigan. |

Re: Three simple questions
Can only answer Q1. The league decides on the "fit and proper test"
the other questions should and will probably be put to any potential purchaser and the answers will be included in the recommendation for approval or rejection of the offer. |

Re: Three simple questions
Imidiate 2 million investment into the club means this will be paid straight away and this will be spent how the new owners feel thay it should. The club will be sold and the new owners will have full say of how the club is run and how their money is spent.

Re: Three simple questions
Of course you are right. Second guessing will bring nothing. If you agree that in principle we should talk to them then vote yes. In my opinion it would be a great shame not to take it further. It will for sure anyway require a further vote so what is to lose ?
