My thinking is along these lines.

The worst things about the clubs mentioned was how farcical it was that they had a squad value of double ours, and yet were getting the kind of crowds that we'd get for an open training session.

By their very nature, their fortunes were unsustainable.

You've even had owners at Dover and Eastleigh berating the community for not coming out in as big numbers as hoped.

Unlike the teams mentioned, I'd like to think that with well placed investment, we could become self-sustainable within a few years.

We've already got ourselves out of the debts left to us by the previous regimes. With this extra boost, and the installation of a professional club set-up, we can go from strength to strength.

No we're not. All three clubs listed are basically manufactured and have no history worth speaking about before the money came.

We have a big fan base to tap in to, so in many ways we're a more attractive investment proposition.

I completely agree - when we were in what is now the championship we had incredible crowds.

If this were a perfect world, Ormerod buries the shot at Wembley and we're already back in the EFL. But it's not and he didn't.

If this is the way back and more importantly- ensures the club's survival, then I am all in favor of it.

I disagree. Surely any investment above what you generate yourself is manufacturing a better standing in the football world.

If nobody invested into football clubs, there would be reduced competition. Using an example, why should Fleetwood not be allowed a team in the football league?

i was side on to that attempt at Wembley, if he fluffed it, it would of gone in, but he caught it perfectly and that's why he missed the goal.

Still see it now the cross coming in, and all the what ifs.

Ive certainly been one of those thinkers as I'm a dinasaur and look back with rose tinted glassesI guess. Trouble is,in the real present world, its investment that pushes clubs to success. Just look at any league. Where were City,Chelsea eg 20 years ago?
Salford Forest Green very recently. Harsh reality that football has changed. Not for the better, far from it,but thats the way it is I guess.

I agree. Massive catchment area that potentially could stretch along North Wales Coast.
