Default Trust membership and being able to vote

Genuine question here, I have supported Wrexham all my life, followed the team all over the country through good and bad times. Over the last couple of years I have opped out of being a member of the Trust, as I am not supportive of some of the rules that have been put in place and also the way some of the board have acted, at one point it was all so negative and I was paying my money into something that I stopped believing in. That doesn't make me any less of a fan that a Trust member and I'm guessing the majority of true Wrexham fans are in the same boat as me.

The question I have is will Trust membership reopen after this first vote, or will the clubs future be decided by a very small percentage of the clubs fans? I think that if by some miracle the current trust members vote yes to talk to the investors, then the membership option to reopen to allow for a more fairer vote from a majority of the overall supporters and not just a couple of hundred people.

While i do not doubt your loyalty i doubt you will get what you want. If i bank with Lloyds all my life and they get taken over i get no say. If i own shares in them but bank elsewhere i get a say. Not sure why you believe the majority of Wrexham fans are in the same boat as you ? Personally i would say most ST holders are trust members and while not setting this group above others our allegiance to the club is clear.

I agree Harry fans need to be given every opportunity to vote on the actual deal.
Surely this current vote will go through can anybody be that blinkered as to vote no ?

I agree that it should go through but i doubt membership will then be opened up. To be clear i am for sure not against it but not sure how you then prevent ,for example, non Wrexham fans joining simply to spoil the vote ?

I doubt membership will be opened up again until after the votes have been taken, for the reason stated in the FAQs. The risk for carpet baggers etc would be even higher once the identity of the prospective purchasers is known. This is the reason they were asking people to rejoin last week.

from what i have seen on other social media sites it is clear that there are some who will vote against even the initial vote, like Harry i could not agree with various things and are not a member hence i can not vote and i accept that, the majority of Wrexham supporters are also not members and if this vote does not go through to the next stage then i think this will be the last straw for many, so please members regardless of your personal leanings or beliefs let us at least know who the investors are and their intentions and then take it from there

My membership lapsed and I chose not to renew for similar reasons to you.

Despite that I received the email and duly voted in favour of the resolution.
