Older Supporters will no doubt remember Reg Hunter born in Colwyn Bay who went on to sign for Manchester United's Busby Babes leaving them in 1960 to sign for Wrexham FC playing 40 games and scoring 4 goals before leaving in1962 to sign for Bangor City, I am sure he played for Borough Utd after leaving Bangor, with Borough Utd playing in the Europeans Cup Winners Cup in the early 1960s beating Silema Wanderers of Malta before losing to Slovan Bratislava in the next round both home fixtures being played at the Racecourse. Reg who continued to live in Wrexham and worked for Border Breweries until its' closure passed away on 9th September 2020.

I got to meet Reg when our sons played in the same youth football team, and found that he was both very modest and unassuming gentleman. RIP

i remember Reg well, good player in the short time he played for Wrexham.

I enjoyed watching Reg play. He could get down the wing and deliver a good cross. If memory serves me correctly he was one of a flurry of signings in a vain attempt to stave off relegation - along with Reg Holland, Peter Jones and Ron Harbertson.
