2020/21 Like for Like Stats

Why are we comparing stats from 1920/21 season? Were we any better then?

I didn't watch the game, but by many accounts we performed well but didn't get the goals. Sounds rather familiar to me. Looks as though we're going to go for it at home and play for a draw away.

I remember Dixie saying at a fans meeting that you can't play with one man up front in this league. It needs saying again!

I assume you mean 1919/20. The object of the thread is to compare this season's performance to last season. Admittedly, it's not as good 'overall' comparison because of last season's 9 cancelled games, but the game by game comparison is valid for 37 games, and the PPG table is a good indicator of our playoff chances.

It's not often that I have to correct you before I even look at the stats but the correct Keates strategy is 'play for a draw at home and avoid losing away'.

I'm perfectly aware of what the thread is about. However, the thread title is 1920/21 Like for like stats?

1920-21 was a decent season to be fair. Finished 3rd of 18 teams in the Birmingham and District League and won the Welsh Cup. I doubt we will match it with Keates in charge.

I blame my Long Covid issues for any and all errors this season!

Interesting to note that the PPG shows us 5th!
