As most on here, been thinking about the proposed takeover a lot. All the publicity this has generated, we’ve been focusing on our club getting it all. Surely R&R must have seen a big increase in social media etc with regard to them. Can only be to their benefit also. Would there have been as much general interest if they had bought a “bigger” club. Perhaps this is turning out to be better than they expected also ?

Just wish the board would say they have made contact, spoken on the phone, zoomed anything this waiting silence is unbearable.

Spencer Harris has confirmed they have had numerous zoom meetings including one he held personally with them on Wednesday. It’s just a case of being patient and waiting for the formal proposal to be put before the WST members. From listening to Spencer all looks positive but commercial contracts take time.

Due diligence is rarely completed in under 2 months, often longer even after a letter of intent , there will be complexities not found in normal deals such as undisclosed liability protections (normally born by shareholders who are profiting from sale proceeds) which need to be sorted between legal teams. Unless this has gone on for longer than they board remit from the members allowed (talks only agreed last week) them completing before December is unlikely - more probable is n year

Was last week's vote required to start due diligence, or was the vote for the WST to progress with negotiations only required in the event of a firm offer being received? I was under the impression it was the latter, and that all due diligence would've taken place prior to any potential owners making an offer.

From the speed in which the pair were unmasked, it would suggest that all of the ducks were already lined up. I can imagine in such situations that once the media touchpaper has been lit, they won't want to wait for months for the fireworks to start.

I could well be wrong; it has been known, even though I'm Welsh.

I am sure the advisers from both sides have already commenced discussions. It’s great to see the club engaging with R&R and the appreciation of both seems genuine.

Like everyone else, I am keen to see where it goes but have learned to be patient because these things are seldom simple.
There is a lot of stuff being put out in the media- yesterday’s Football Focus was cringeworthy - but hopefully they are just getting on with it.

Whichever way it goes, in these current times, let’s just hope it is resolved to the satisfaction of everyone, even the 31!
