But I became increasingly disillusioned with how the WST and the club were being run during the 2017/2018 season, and the home defeat to Boreham Wood in April 2018 was the last straw for me.

So I decided to ‘not spend a penny more’ while things continued as they were, and I haven’t.

I'm really excited by the news of the takeover, and looking forward to again handing over my dosh to the new owners if and when the deals goes through, but not before.

I would encourage all WST members to vote yes to the takeover when the time comes.
This is good .
But what will you do if the takeover does not happen for a few weeks ,will you not pay to watch livestreaming?

Absolutely shameful that Reynolds and McElhenney might end up footing the bill for last year's season ticket refunds. Not exactly a good way for the outgoing board to endear themselves to the new owners is it? Particularly as 2 or 3 will be expecting a role out of this.

If the WST members vote yes to the takeover, I'll happily pay to watch livestreaming.
If the deal falls through after that then I'll be throwing my toys out the pram again.

Re Griff 49

Quite a few football businesses have been deliberately run into the ground in order for the owner to profit.

As for the backstabbing comments you refer to --- that might be taken in reflection of the fact that the board (And Trust Board) took the club to its lowest ever position thereby endangering the very existence of the club.

Some might heap praise on the fact that the previous debt was cleared etc etc bu I do feel any one with an ounce of nouse would have used the football fortune to do the same.

Now, out of the blue come some 'investors' with funds. So supporters might have interesting times ahead and the embarrassing situation has been avoided.

Put it this way, I've asked for my season ticket money back. But given the fact we're possibly being bought out and are going to be a proper football club again I'm less inclined to take it.

Call that mad because it probably is, I'm effectively giving my money to millionaires and not the Trust but it's just one symbol of how disillusioned me and thousands of others have become with trust ownership

They won’t, the debt stands with the current owners and any interest and court costs sought by anyone who does so. While the press are interested maybe how’s the time for those awaiting refunds to bring it to the media’s attention.

With zero income at the moment any business would struggle to pay back money that's already been spent. Perhaps a court case would open the eyes of potential new owners?

Money that’s already been spent on paying for terrible decision making by the WST, the season ticket money and 1.8 million from ward and the Taylor money yet can not afford to pay fans back. That’s how poor off the field we have been there’s no defending them!

The point stands though the money was spent well before lockdown cut off all income even someone with zero business sense can understand that point I would think.
