It's also worth reflecting on the tremendous support we have had over the last few grim years - when we played a home game against Exeter City in March 1988 only 963 supporters turned up to see a Kevin Russell hat trick in a 3:0 win.

Remember both those games.

Recall being on the kop for the Exeter City match - what stood out was the players running to the wire mesh cage fences and standing on them to celebrate the goals - similarly fans doing the same from their side of the fence.

As for Boreham Wood tomorrow.

Not sure of how much their squad has changed but they have done well and were losing play off semi finalists to the eventual winners Harrogate.
Their Chairman has re mortgaged his house to inject some cash into their coffers.

Tyrone Marsh (striker) has left them - some familiar faces in their squad (unless they too have departed). Ex Lincoln Matt Rhead and ex red Fyfield.

I see from their pre season freindlies they lost their first 2 but then went onto win their next 5.

We couldn't score a single goal in a whole 2 matches v Telford United so who's to know how both teams will perform on what could be a very wet day.

Boreham Wood have been tipped to be dark horses this year by many, even as champions, so it will be a good measure of our squad.
