Default Streaming revenue

Apologise in advance if this has been discussed and I've missed it but there have been a couple of threads on the topic.

In relation to the revenue from the streaming, its much needed source of income.
Do we know if, we have to pay BT, the national league or the opposition a share?

BT have the overall rights to the matches I believe. If they haven't selected the game not sure we would pay anything. Plus given this is all about clubs surviving and as such would expect they wouldn't ask for it.

National league have the rights on highlights? Or at least they put theirs out first? Not sure the league would expect anything as without this revenue for clubs they won't have a league

In relation to the away side, I imagine it's everyman for himself as some clubs may not have capacity to set this up so would be a little unfair.

I was one of the 2800 who paid for it despite going to the pub as I didn't want to do the club out of any cash. But if I thought a % was being paid out I'd rather stick £20 in the club shop

In the EFL the home club gets all revenue from home sales and the first 500 away passes sold. This means with a few exceptions and certainly on saturday we would get all revenue if the NL follows the EFL lead. It also means that IMO we will probably be generating quite some revenue for the home clubs on our away fixtures and some for us.

Logic suggests that it might benefit us with some clubs though... Presumably given how badly some clubs away following is, away supporters who wouldn't normally attend games at the racecourse may be enticed into streaming our home games. More revenue on those Tuesday night games where people struggle to make a 4 hour journey after work under normal circumstances.

I've got to say, having had time to reflect (I know there is a few threads I could post this on, but I'm doing it here)... I am actually impressed with the work ollie did on the commentary, I know robocam needs some work but I'll be a regular streamer of games going forward while attendance isn't an option. I'd really like there to be a second commentator, I think there are advertising opportunities at half time and before kick off, and given the club has a commercial zoom account now I reckon there is a really good social opportunity for people who wanyt to watch the game with others, but if we focus on the basics and refine I think streaming could be a real success story.

Hope robocam finds the zoom button soon though.

Dover had problems on Saturday with their streaming and have issued a statement offering refunds (within a fortnight interesting concept Wxm fc take note) and have also stated the streaming service costs the club a great deal of money to provide and is not the great cash cow some would have you believe.

It should be profitable

22 games £10 x 2800 is £616000 plus some, like me, pay more than the £10

Minus the equipment and the cost of the streaming service which should be minimal

I think this will benefit lots of the ‘smaller’ clubs, for example Solihull averaged 1400 last year and with lots of reds fans taking up the £7.50 streaming offer, I would suggest at least 1500-2000 reds will sign up tomorrow. They could be looking at 20-30k for this before costs.

surely this is the income that we would have had from season tickets, so it is plugging that gap to some degree.
