67/68 season and 68/69 were seasons when Wrexham had a few Monday night home fixtures. I recall doing night classes at The Tech and rushing out to catch the last part of matches. Prob other seasons around that time as well.

I think it changed from a Monday night for mid week fixtures after the 79-80 season. The cup replay victories over Bristol City and Newcastle in the F A Cup run of 1977-78 were momentous Monday night fixtures.

Prior to the late 1960's didn't we always have night matches on a Monday with a 7.15 kick off. The Saturday matches kicked off at 3.15. If I remember right it was to do with shifts at Gresford Colliery

i can remember that amazing 78 season playing on a monday, if memory serves the monday after losing to Arsenal we played Tranmere at home and trounced them 6-1

i think we also beat port vale 6-2 on a thursday for some reason when whittle got 4 i think it was the 76-77 season . My train back to flint was cancelled and i walked but didnt care
