Re: The balanced argument re takeover
the trust do have a duty to ensure that any potential investors have the right intentions for the future of the club, no problem with that, it is clear there are some who want the club to remain under wst ownership, i understand that also, do not agree with it but understand, where i am failing is this notion that world famous investors must prove a long term future when the trust can not guarantee we will last one season

Any plan is better than what we have.

Re: The balanced argument re takeover
I'd normally be a bit more circumspect but in the current climate I'm all for private ownership because we cannot survive as we are, 100%. The club will fold. Not only that but if you were hoping for a particular type of potential owner these would be high up anyones list. A whole different kettle of fish than we've had before. I may be a bit biased because I was a big fan of Rob McElhenny beforehand, and always admired Ryan Reynolds business savvy and character, but I genuinely believe this is the start of an exciting new chapter for the club.
What I would like to known is what the WST will do after this sale. How will they evolve and where will their focus be. I'd like to see them stay as a strong voice of supporters outside the club, and concentrate on community work. I'd like to see them stay/become (depending on your pov) a credible voice for supporters. We might need them to take over again, you never know with football. |

The bunch of village idiots who actually think fan ownership is brilliant, I’d rather never have to endure the circus and poor management ... oh and poor football that we have seen under Spencer and Co. |
