Ratings vs. Wealdstone

Yussuf-7 Took both goals well.
Lainton-6 Not his best day.

Everyone else- not worth rating. Poor defending. Poor passing in the final third. Poor tackling. Poor ball movement. Poor...everything.

Keates-0. This isn't that hard. Best 11 in their best positions. If it's not working? Change it. What I watched today was appalling.

Wealdstone Squad-10. They fully deserved the win. They took their opportunities well.

Wealdstone deserved their win and played some nice crisp football on occasions but defensively they were as woeful as us, Stockport did what good teams would do to teams like these.

Lainton 5 Can’t remember if he was at fault but he still conceded 4

Hall-Johnson 3 Liability defensively like he has been all season, I personally think hes a poor footballer and no better than that Jazzi player.

Reckord 3 Again as above with both full backs getting caught out with balls behind like they have been all season, Keates even alluded to this in his interview

Kelleher 4 Poor game

Vassell 4 poor game and makes some very odd decisions

Harris 5 was our better player at the start of the game and played some decent passes, his petulant side soon took over with stupid fouls.

Durrell 3 Couldn’t get into the game to influence

Young 3 same as above

Rutherford 2 Jasus why is he still here, thought he was maradona before giving the ball away and at fault. Davies got slaughtered last week yet Lord Ruthers escapes such criticism

Thomas 0 My word, I don’t care what anyone says this lad isn’t a footballer. He can control a ball, head a ball, run, he’s got no movement, he’s gives away fouls for fun because he can’t control a ball, this lad is the worst striker I’ve seen in a Wrexham shirt so far.

Yussuf 3 scored 2 goals but as above with Thomas, I don’t think he’s a very gifted footballer but he did score.

Jarvis 3 A lot of noise has been made about this kid and once again I am yet to see the excitement surrounding him.

Can’t remember the other subs but they wouldn’t of been any good.

Javis replaced Rutherford at halftime. No other subs

Good god, no other subs apart from a forced one in a game like that. How many players do we have in our squad? We had no strikers on the bench....

Re: Ratings vs. Wealdstone

I truly can't be arsed rating each individual player, but :

There was little structure in our play - the game was incredibly open and chances were a plenty - the game was there for the taking with some degree of control and composure - we had the opportunity to have scored far more than 3.

Noticeably, as in recent games the opposition seem to focus their attacks down their left flanks (our right back position) - this was very evident yesterday especially first half.

Not sure what happened - really don't get it as the back 5 have looked pretty assured but it was a daft game which could have easily ended 8 - 8.

The hard work should come pre season in assembling the right squad - is it much different to last season ? or is it the way they are coached and asked to play ?

Hoof it up in the air for Thomas & Yussuf seems to be the game plan - not much creativity.

Another relegation battle lies ahead - the team wont prosper until someone else is managing them.

Hall-Johnson has been poor defensively since his introduction. Really not impressed at all.

Reckord looks like another journeyman non-league full back that lacks application. He certainly is a downgrade on Jennings.

Re: Ratings vs. Wealdstone

As others have said no point rating it individually
Goalkeeper 5
All of the defence 2

The midfield 2

The forward line 3

Manager or Ringmaster and his circus assistants.

Minus 10

Is this team man for man better than last years lot. Defensively no way, mid-field and up front just as bad and they were fighting a relegation battle.
If the two Rs get cold feet, we are right in it.
