don't get me wrong I'm as excited and looking forward to it as the majority of our fans... BUT , at the same time I wont be just automatically ticking "YES" on my vote without looking at and taking into account their proposal... and neither should anybody else.

im hoping i read their proposal and vision and then get all excited and rush to tick YES..

but not till after ive read what they offering us.
good post. I also am excited and desperately want to tick yes. Yet i will read their proposal and vision hoping so much that it is ok.

In theory Yes, but given their knowledge of the club and their understanding of the bid, they should provide some guidance on how to evaluate the offer.

What on earth are people going on about here?

Basically if you vote no you'll be voting for the club to go bust. That's the reality.
There is no alternative, other than to vote no and pray one of the WST die-hards wins the euro millions.

Do you really think the WST/Club Boards would have let it come this far if they could remain in place and carry on, considering what we learned about the importance they've placed on self preservation in their roles and "fan ownership"? Not a chance.

They have realised its the end game and they cannot continue. Covid has accelerated this coming to a head in my opinion.
A sale goes against everything the WST and those who still believe in the model stand for. They haven't given that up lightly, its taken a situation that is dire and the clubs future was on the brink to wake them up. But at least they have done the right thing eventually.

Apart from LJ of course. He's probably, as I type this, marching around his back garden holding an R&R Out banner chanting 'save my club'. He seriously needs to let go of the past, realise there is no fight anymore and seek help.

So whatever the details of the takeover are the reality is there is no choice other than to vote for the sale to go through. A no vote is playing with fire and would prove Stephanie Booth right when she said fans would kill the club.

This should include the plan for staying solvent if the vote is 'no'.

As much as I don't think Spencer knows how to appoint a manager he is not daft and Mark is a very well qualified FD, I think they know the road is tough ahead, maybe too tough, and possibly unsurvivable (as other clubs will find the longer this goes on) hence why they seem keen to push this through. I don't think there will be an alternative plan put forward because I don't think they can see one that works. Its this deal or a very uncertain future.

This is the key thing for me. I'm fine with the board staying neutral, but if fans are potentially turning down the investment, surely they have to know that the alternative keeps us in business!
