Hope everyone is okay, and that it doesn’t spread further. As others have said, I’m really not convinced the season will finish.

10 days for those who tested positive and then 14 days minimum for player who is a close contact.

A few bits of related information.

Out of 10 original National League fixtures this Saturday three have now been postponed.

BBC site reports Wrexham medical officer in conjunction with League medical officer make agreement to postpone and all Wrexham players who travelled to Solihull by coach last Saturday are to self isolate - this to me is a significant issue for footballers - travelling together couped up together on a coach especially as we go into winter - got to be about the most unhealthy places to be - all close together and using the same air.

The reference to Barnet - if people recall their league game prior to last weekends FA cup tie was postponed - they had 9 if not 10 players plus the manager out self isolating - by the time they reached us their period of isolation was at or around the finishing line.

There is also concern that persons can also become reinfected for a second time - also nothing to say they can't carry the virus - said all along it's going to be a long hard winter with multiple postponements likely - it's going to be hard to complete the league programme - but if we don't try we might as well put football into mothballs and close all grounds down.

Best wishes to the whole squad for a speedy and full recovery.

Also worthy of mention - best wishes sent by our friends at Sutton United - at the end of the day it's a football match we have lost - players health comes first.

Obviously I wish the players well, but can't there be a 28 day quarantine then hopefully Keates & co gone and a new regime in place for next game played.

The link to Barnet makes you wonder . How many of their staff and players were still carriers. I know it doesn't matter much who passed it on and yes it is more and more likely that we will get matches postponed, elite sport or not.
I don't think we are going to get this season finished either so get ready for another points per game ending.
Will keep the reasoning for the off topic you will be glad to hear.

Well we will all be wondering if there is a link with Barnet.

I noticed that they came out of the Tech End stand whilst we came out of the usual players tunnel - playing outside and kept apart in all other aspects so probably as best it could be.

You do have to wonder about coach travel though - very practical in terms of numbers but not so good due to all being in one metal container.

What might be interesting is to see how Barnet's FA Cup opponents of last weekend cope in the coming days - will any of their players go down with Covid ?
