.... or having to buy the club off an owner.

There was an article in the Hartlepool loc rag not that long ago, a lot of fans were unhappy that interested buyers were put off by what the owner wanted for his back-pocket. This was rumoured to be R&R.

If you're looking for a rags to riches story we're a great candidate. Being a Welsh club from a Welsh town with a deep history in Welsh football shouldn't be underestimated either.

If they do film one alongside the project then even better as far as exposure for the club goes.
They might keep Keates on and turn it into a disaster movie.

If Ryan Reynolds went to amazon or netflix saying "want to buy a doc where I buy and run a sports club" I would guess the plan could be written on a post it note to secure a few million quid deal he has that pull.

If they want a disaster movie, Tom Cruise could play Keates!

When I started this thread I had hoped that 'No' voters would have put forward their reasons why they were against the deal so that I could understand their point of view. They either have none or are too afraid to come out.

I think it is always good to try and pull apart a dream when it seems too good to be true - no harm at all to examine, probe, question every aspect - it reminds me of a bank investment - risk & reward.

What is at risk ?
Well some would say control - once handed over then the ownership which was fought for, from the brink has gone for others to play with and do as they feel.

The vast majority of us on this forum will have supported & followed Wrexham all their lives - decades of support and memories possibly an extension of our forefathers and handed down by us to the next generation.

I can't deny I have concerns - while we have Wrexham in our blood, it's our town, our area we are going to hand it over to total strangers from the other side of the Atlantic - and lets face it they currently don't have a love in for the club - it seems like a bit of a project - my big question is are they in it for the long term ? 2 years, 5 years, 10 years down the line - and what happens if they tire of the whole thing ? they may have ambitions that simply don't happen - there is no guarantee that we will sail up the league pyramid.

it all comes down to money at the end of the day.

I just refuse to jump on the bandwagon without asking questions but we all have to come to a conclusion balanced against where we are heading if we don't take the step - I don't even think fan ownership is totally terrible but much depends on having the right people at the helm - and we simply don't.

In conclusion I believe many will have similar concerns but will vote for the takeover - moreso to oust the current substandard regime rather than any love in for the new owners and to give us all a rare, probably once in a lifetime chance to see dreams can come true.
