Wider fanbase cant watch live but documentary crew can record the meeting?

Agree entirely. Since when has entry to a WST members meeting been dependant on a member agreeing to have it recorded? They don't actually have power to do that and would need a vote at the very start for it to happen. If a good reason is given then no doubt it would be carried. The closer we get to a sale the less it appears that the rules matter. Probably the last time anyone gets a say in anything that happens to the club. Be nice if the rules were followed.

Normally for me at least I have to give my permission to be recorded on Zoom

I agree it's not democratic, as it could deter fans from not turning up.

Fans should have been asked, told why it was being recorded and what would you have to do if you don't want to be filmed.

I would have said yes, even if it was a documentary.

It is norm to be informed you are going to be videoed when walking into some gigs.

To be fair though, recording aside, not sure why there's a particular point about the wider fanbase not having access here whereas a recording crew can. The wider fanbase has always had the option to join the trust in order to gain access to these meetings, not joining is a choice they made.

This feels like something about nothing to me.
