Default The Football Side of Things Under New Ownership

What are we hoping for?

I am hoping for a plan for the football side of things. A sensible grown up plan that is ambitious but realistic.

For me, some are writing off the season but every point counts, if we continue on course then perhaps new management and playing personnel will be in place by the end of January (if not before with free agents) and we will have a better end to the season than a beginning?

I want to see us build to challenge to win the league next season certainly very minimum a play off which I still think with additions this we could achieve this time round. I want this to be the absolute focus of everything the club does. Investment particularly in players wages for key positions will be required.

We could compete in League 2 financially and Conference clubs have a good record of being about the playoff etc in first season. If we were promoted to League 1 that would be the test of our commercial activities at that point as to compete you require big bucks (relatively speaking) and robust streams of income to look higher up the leagues.

So:

EFL 21/22 or 22/23 (latter more likely)
League 1 23/24

at that point we will be a global force so.....We have always to be realistic and remember that a big part of our story and profile going forward will be the Hollywood touch. When that goes so would much of that global reach. lets hope we are sustainable but enjoy what I hope is a grand ride till then on the field.

Yes next season we should be aiming to win the league, and definitely promoted by 2023 at the latest.

I’d still snap your hand off for League One in 5 years.

I don't get this backward thinking let's go next season philosophy, promotion can be done this year wether as champions, or through playoffs, I would be extremely disappointed if we couldn't make the playoffs, and I expect an influx of players in the next few weeks through loans,as inJanuary a big splash to get the players needed to finish the job.

Possible but not if Keates and Co are still here.

At some point in the near future, the national league will have to have a lockdown; probably before the January transfer window and I can't see Wrexham to have completed a quarter of the season's game before the window.

All to play for.

Realistically this takeover isn’t going to be completed until around Christmas time, by then I’m doubting we’ll be in the mix under Keates. Get a new manager in the new year, start the building process in January and then smash it next season.

Although I’d love to be proven wrong and do it this season.

Definitely true but don't worry they'll be gone soon.
