...and the club being debt-free was an incredible plus point to this deal.

It’s clear that the last couple of years has severely tarnished the good work the Trust has done for Wrexham. Even for members, the first tangible bid on the table and it's likely to be overwhelmingly voted for.

Vote No. And it's the end of Wrexham football club simple.

The fans of this great club saved us, whether that was trust members or not.
We are where we are for good or bad because we have managed to stabilise the finances and run sustainably.
Bids by shysters have been rejected and we now have a more genuinely interested and cash rich partnership in the frame which seems to be supported by the trust board and the vast majority of members.
Success on the pitch is the ultimate parameter of a clubs performance and we have to a large degree failed in that respect.
Lets hope that the new owners live up to expectations.
good post

The Trust took over when we were on our knees 9 years ago. They have made a lot of mistakes along the way, but we are where we are. Without them and the loyal fans we would not be looking forward now to tomorrow. I have remained a Trust member together with the other 2100 in the hope that tomorrow would come. We obviously have lacked investment on and off the pitch and we were going nowhere. Now there is great new hope for a bright future, I hope all the other members will vote 100% for this deal. Thanks, WST. I hope they will be able to give background support to the new owners lets move on and not look back. We need to get out of this hell hole of a league and I am excited to see what happens in the months ahead.

If you make people feel that they can't express their doubts in public and social media, they'll only express themselves at the ballot box.

Eg Sarah Atherton won the election. How many people do you know who voted for her compared with those who voted plaid or labour? Bet it's less.

Depends where you live in Wrexham, but that is for another thread in off-topic.

Okay I'll put it another way; twice I've been called in public of not having the interests of the club at heart, once by a previous wst chair and once by Stephanie Booth.

Both times, did it make me change my mind? No.

Both times, did it motivate me to carry out more activism? Yes.

What ever happens tomorrow, some of the 'NOs' arent going to stop and their numbers will be bolstered if 'maybes' become alienated by some of the 'yes' vote.

One thing which should happen after tomorrow is the voting system should be that which has taken place with online voting. This should stop members who may feel intimidated by a show of hands in a closed meeting. Would this vote get through in a closed meeting of a few hundred, I doubt it? I for one will remain a member and hope this system is now adopted at all future meetings.
