I think Swansea qualified for whatever the UEFA cup is called these days for winning the league cup despite Welsh FA affilation - but honestly I dont think its anything to worry about at this stage.

[QUOTE=KM Red;2409342]I can see why Spencer kept this quiet. Eisner the Portsmouth owner used exactly the same reason for buying the supporter owned club as R and R have stated. He is also using the 'global force ' phrase.

Eisner said in an interview with the Daily Mail ‘My son said to me that we ought to find a very famous team that had fallen on hard times and build it back.

So both Portsmouth and now ourselves have brilliant owners with ambition and with something to look forward to? Great for them and great for us I say :)

This is very much the calm before the next storm. Last night was a dose of reality in that it is all about the football.

Like last night, I hope the players can be professional enough. If they perform, they will be rewarded, I am sure.

The next storm will be when the takeover is formally completed and they can announce the CEO but again, it is unlikely to affect what happens on the pitch until the transfer window opens.

8 games to play before the window should think got to win 5 of them to stay somewhere in contention. With this lot I'm not over confident.

This has been covered before.

We are playing in the English pyramid which is why UEFA banned us from qualifying via the Welsh Cup.

The other side of the coin is that we qualify for any European competition via the usual route English teams do which is why Swansea played in the UEFA cup a few years ago after winning the League Cup.......

So yes, in the very unlikely scenario, if we finished top 4 in the Premier League we would qualify for the Champions league.

Re: New CEO

Let's start with finishing in the top 4 of the National League first - preferably at the top of those 4
