You’re misunderstanding what is being said.

Deficit and debt are not the same things. Spencer said we’d be in deficit. He did not say we’d be in debt.

A deficit means that we would spend more money in one year than we would take in. It’s hardly a surprise that we’d run a deficit in the middle of a pandemic.

But, so long as your bank balance is bigger than the deficit, you won’t be in debt. You’ll just have less money than you did before.

The WST had taken the club as far as it could and it was fortuitous that Reynolds and McElhenney came along when they did.

The focus going forward should be supporting the club and getting back into the Football League.

Feels a bit flat after all the excitement earlier in the week. I guess we will see more progress after the FA acceptance process is complete and we finalise the transfer.

It was clear from a very long time that we couldn't afford that 'striker', or that creative midfield player who could unlock a defence. That player you need to make a difference, the player you need to get promoted. The only manager who did this was Wilkin, he managed to get one if not two of the best strikers this level has seen since Vardy and Tubbs. When it was crystal clear that this was the case I knew we had to either seek investment or sell up, that's why I've been a moaning bastard for many years.

I haven't enjoyed the last eight years at all but now I feel we might be on the verge of something special, I feel it's time to let go of the past and look forward to an exciting future together.

Dixie unbelievable that for a month that season we had Moult,Jennings and Holman.Not had one striker of that level since. Quigley probably closest.
